Any one used a trails rear tire

I seen people on here who have used them and wonder what they are like. They are a must if you do a LDT arent they? But I wonder how good they are on the roads? And also when it gets boggy. Why also are they for LDTs, is it because they dont cut up the ground like a knobbly??

ive used them on my montesa (for sale) ok in dry not great in wet mud i prefere moto cross tyres on my trail bikes and trials tyres on my tials bikes..lol

had one on the ccm when you and bob came out with fred and myself a couple of months ago.no probs phil,couldn't get it to spin up on fireroad corners and once i got used to the feel of it on the road it was fine.

I probably use pirelli trials tyre's on the rear more than anything, don't seem to have any drama's with them. I think most popular combination down here is trials rear enduro front

hi there,
got a pirelli mt43 on my xr400. no problem on road and well behaved under 60mph, a bit on edge after that. got to be enduro or road legal mx (s12) on the front. best tyre for rocks and steps/logs. not recommended in deep mud though.

Ok cheers guys ( forgot about your one you had on the tractor Ogri), have been wondering whether to go for something differant than the standard issue AC10 as they wear so quickly on the tarmac, and give you some heart stoppers in the wet, great for mud and only ok for rocks. I have also used MT21s that are a fantastic alrounder but fill up with mud.

Just removed the MT 43 from the rear of my XR650L becasue it had lost most of the centre tread - too soft for the tracks here in The Gambia.
Have fitted the Trelleborg Army Special, used them in the past and they are very good on and off road.

I was looking at these but in the end went for a Mitas CO2 on the rear of the CRM. I may try one next when the Mitas wears out. I'd be interested in any first hand experiences if anyone's got these fitted.
