...or if it's a front rim lock - just take it out.

(I use 'just' in the skinned knukcles, swearing kind of understated way)

if your gonna take the rimlock out, you have to run quite a high pressure in the tyre or it will rotate and tear the innertube valve stem out of the inner tube.

Like mine did last month ><

Im going to leave the rimlock in for sure... ive been told loosen clamp run the tyre up the road then tighten it up so its not distorting the tyre , test it and if still a problem i could get it balanced with spoke weights....

thanks again for your advice Bryan

    Re: nodding front end.....

I run 10 to 12 psi in a Bridgestone Gritty on the front of the CRM. I removed the rimlock on the front and haven't had any issues at all with the tyre rotating under braking. Boboneleg also runs without a front rimlock without issues.

Havving said that, I'm not using heavy braking off-road or on the lanes. On-road I'm putting it up to 20psi again and then it'll do stoppies without spinning the tyre on the rim. I suppose it depends on the tyre, how worn the friction bumps are on the rim itself are, and the type of riding you do but it seems to work on mine okay.
