    XR400 test ride.....WOW!

    Oh my god!
There a bit of a pain to start, my legs are still knackered 3hrs later!
But when started!!!! having second thoughts about using one as a commuter now!

May have been the gearing, but that was rapid! and didn't appreciate just how high they are! fun fun fun but think i need to test another one, one thats been used as a road bike( and maybe geared differently, susspenison adjusted).

I thought i'd looked a right knob, but he reckoned i did ok considering first trail bike i've been on since dr125 ten years ago.

Is the suspension adjustable? forgot to ask the fella, could it be stiffened a bit with heavier fork oil in the front? any problems with that?

Anyhow loved it but now i'm even more confused!

The suspension front and rear has many setting, that will depend on your weight and how you like the bike set up for what type of riding your going to be doing.

Has for gearing, again that will depend on what your doing.

I run a 15 front and 42 rear, this allowes me a top speed of 140 km and is still ok for hard climb's when off roading.

Once you set the sag on your bike to suit you,it's just a case of playing around with the setting's till you find what suit's you best .

    Have fun
