Help fitting a Ricky stator to uk XR650R

Hi,

I need help wiring the stator into the standard ED model loom as the some of the colours on the wires are different. I need to know what colour goes to which. Im keeping both AC and DC, AC for the lights and DC for heated clothing.

This is what I think is correct?

brown-brown
black/red-black/red
blue/yellow-blue/yellow
green/red-green

DC regulator/rectifier
white-pink
green-yellow

AC regulator
white-white/yellow
green-ground to frame

Hi david you might want to fit a larger reg/rectifier on and convert the two 100w outputs to DC if your running heated stuff as i think you only get 50watts from the stator for the existing DC reg/rec ricky stator has diagrams to do this on their site unlike xr stuff good luck do you have a wiring diagram for the 650

This is how it goes, done with out cutting up the original loom

RS brown to original brown
RS black/red to original black/red

RS blue/yellow to original blue/yellow
RS green/red to original green

RS white with male bullet connector goes to original White/Yellow
RS green with male bullet connector goes to ground

RS white with double female connector goes to original yellow
RS green with double female connector goes to original pink



I removed the white block but kept the connectors



Marked the double female wires remove the old connectors and crimped new ones.



The new 6 way 2.8 mini latch came from Kojaycat Hitachi mini latch multi way connectors
they also sell the 3.9mm OEM style connectors





The spare space left was used for the earth to the frame.
