    XR 400 gaitor options

Can anyone tell me if there are any options other than standard gaitors?

I've seen the sock type just wandered if there were any modern stuff out there. New bikes and upside down forks have plastic guards is there a reason the xr does not?

Upside down forks the stanchion is at the bottom where everything will hit it thats why they get plastic guards. Standard forks don't need them although mine has acerbis leg /disc protectors fitted.

Do you have any pics or links on the acerbis leg/disc protectors?

Scott Campbell in the USA used to ride XR600/400 and his company produced some RWU fork protectors that did the same job as the other type fork protectors. I have a page in my folder somewhere...i'll see if I can find it and post it up.

I ve found acerbis and SRC upper fork protecter plastics inaitors photos but I can't find em to buy anywhere.

They look really good with the noeprene replacement gaitors.
I read somewhere the other day the nick name for standard gaitor was Accordion
I quite like them standard though.
