another wiring question xr600....

help needed!

have got a new stator to fit on my bike, but been looking at the standard set up and from what i presume is the stator there is 5 wires coming off it, black/red which i know is for the cdi, white and a green which go into the regulator and out again, which i guess the white is the live wire and the green is the earth, but does the stator need a earth??!!??

but then there is also a pink and a yellow wire from the sator connected the loom, but unsure of where they go and what they do?

so if anyone had a xr600 and dosent mind looking under there seat to see what wires they have coming from there stator that would be great!

i have checked a few wiring diagrams for the xr600 but none of them seem the same as mine!

im confused........... ..................

What make stator have you got
Looking at a diagram i have done for the 400 (which i cant post on here) your connections appear to be very similar to the 400
This is how the 400 is wired
brown and black/red are for the CDI
pink and yellow are for the regulator rectifier which does the DC stuff indicators stop/tail light ect.
And white goes to the regulator for the AC stuff (headlight) you may have to bolt the green to the frame to complete the circuit the standard stator does this on the stator itself so you dont see a seperate wire for it hope this has been some help to you

its from electro sport, from the USA. so mine has the black/red for the cdi so that is that one ok.

next there is the white and light green wires, i guess both these are a 100w output as if you look here at the one i got

it should have 2 x 100w outputs and a 50w output, so guess green or white into the regulator then regulator out into the bike circut and the other wire from the regulator which goes into the bikes earth circut which is green.

then that leaves a spare white or green wire which should be a extra 100w output, which i have another regulator to use to run a extra light system with.

then also there is the 50w orange and yellow wires which i guess connect to the standard regulator/rectifier (which i didnt know the bike had lol) which powers tail light horn etc, but will the standard regulator/rectifier be able to cope with the 50w? as i have got to replace the standard regulator

i have emailed the company for some help so will see what happens

but thought i would see if anyone can help on here.......

yeh i have spent i while looking around on the web at bits, have seen a few wiring diagrams and found the one which i think is for mine, didnt realise there was a rectifier on mine and dont know where it is, if anyone could tell me where it is located?

but what i also wanted to know is if other owners could tell me what wires they have coming from there stator coil and what switch gear the bike has, i.i mine has indicators on but not all do, so thinking maybe there stator wires are different?
