    HELP needed exhust

    Hi all on the way home last night exhast started blowing very load at front end limped home to dark and cold to do any thing last night , so this morning set about fixing the exhast it was blow at the cylinder head took bolts off no gasket all there was a 2inch spacer between the head and exhast look like the exhast fits snug into spocer ? not seen this before not sure if this is write? went to bike shop orded a gasket not in till tomorrow , looked on there pc dose not show spacer any idears?

    There are no spacers on the header pipe. The gasket is a copper compression ring when you screw the clamp up toth ehead it will compress. Are you sure the spacer isnt the part of the exhaust which has snapped off around the welds as behind the clamp which you screw to the head there is about 1 1/2iches of exhaust to fit in the port

    You could take it somewhere and maybe get it welded or phone john at xrstuff and see if he's got a used one as he breaks xr's aswell he would also be able to quote you for a new one he sells several brands fmf dep and afew others
