xlr 250 baja vin? where is it

Ok so I bought a XLR250 BAJA last year, it was pretty dark and was very tired, not the right time to be buying a bike!

Its a import, ass they all are and has what looks to be all the documentation from when it was imported.

Just took it for MOT today and they could not find the VIN.
Wasn't really surprised because was told when bought it that it had been painted over at some point but had all the previous MOTs some of which had the VIN on some didn't and the VIN is on the paperwork.

There is some characters 'engraved' on the steering stem that have been painted over, guessing thats the VIN??

Just found out today that the bike had been a cat C too guess that explains the painting over VIN, should of done my homework.

They have MOT'd it but think I best make the VIN more visible. Don't want police to take it off me thinking its been stolen.

Hi, your right it's on the stem, if you have any problems with making the numbers visible i have a frame with clear no. from a 91/92 xlr that i bought for a project that's probably never going to happen and just taking up space.

Hello, I have an XLR250rr 1994 baja and I am looking for a front brake master cylinder as mine is damaged beyond repair. If your 'project' not going ahead would you be up for selling your front brake master cylinder ?? Cheers Dave

Ebay, search worldwide, xlr or xr250l not 100% but sure there the same.
