XR650r clutch and kickstart questions!!

I was out on my XR650r at the weekend and the clutch went a bit funny, its properly adjusted and works correctly most of the time however it creeps at junctions after the bike has been ridden for a while, this also makes it dificult to dis-enguage gears!! Then goes back to normal. The oil level is correct, it is new and of the correct grade and spec!!! The clutch plates are also quite new (less than 1000 miles).

Secondly, the kick start very occasionally feels hard to push down as if its jammed and not enguaging properly.

Does anyone have any knowledge on either problem, I am sure I will not be the first or last.

Hot engines make the cable temporarily longer I think. Same used to happen on my DR, even my AT suffers a bit. I always adjust the play on a hot engined bike, usually before putting it away for the evening after work.
