    Advice for new member

After a few years messing about with vintage scooters i am getting shut of them all and fancy a change. I have got a 916 so dont really need another speed machine but like the look of an xr400 (supermoto style). I am 6 foot and currently about 17 stone. What kind of top speeds can i expect and what would i expect from a budget of around £1500. Ideally i would like a set of off road rims and tyres as well and could stretch the budget for the right package..Tony

Why not just buy an FMX650, you've got the lot and plenty of Umph! My FX650 is brill but not quite as radical as the FMX.

And another thing, Mike Hailwood is my hero. Is he also yours?

Ok, so if you haven't been and you need a ride for a day make your way to Tanworth in Arden church (between Birmingham and Redditch) where he rests. It's a nice little place and the best way to pay your respects. It's well worth it and you'll be glad you did it. Most riders span a decade if they are any good, Mike the Bike spanned three! not to mention his car raceing exploits. Truely a remarkable man.
