XR600 Road Gearing

Been using the XR 600 for a while now and I'd like to change the gearing for road use during the week, I'm looking not to be ringing the nutz off it at 70mph, any advice on number of teeth would be great.

Is it possible to fit XL chain and sprockets (1989 XR) to the XR or is it easier to just to get new sprockets?

i fitted dominator gearing to mine not sure of the teeth but it will cruise at 80mph with ease now

This is an interesting tool...but basically, if you're using say 15/45 & the engine is a bit 'buzzy' as you say, then either add one tooth to the front sprocket, or fit a rear sprocket with three less teeth. Sometimes a front sprocket is a lot easier to change quickly if you were going to go greenlaning on the Sunday, but after a cleanup & be ready for work the next day, just swap the sprockets over.
