    Linkage Alignment

I've noticed that the "Pro-Link" linkage does not sit equally between the mounting lugs on the swingarm. The link is closer to one side (nearly touching) than the other 5mm gap. Is this normal.
The only link in the whole assembly that can be assembled differently is the "dog bone" anchor link to the frame. This can be rotated end to end or be twisted 180deg (if that makes sense). Although it does not appear to be is this link offset?

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Re: Linkage Alignment

Not sure about your XR*** as I can't see it from here. But on my XR400 the aftermarket 'Devol' dogbone that lowers the seat height by about 1 inch sits perfectly equal between the linkage. It does sound as though maybe a bush or a cap hasn't been put back into place correctly, or misplaced. Is there any significant sideways movement in the swing arm or the linkage?

    Hi 416cc

Thanks for responding. I am pretty certain I have not missed a seal or anything but I will check. There is no side to side movement in the swingarm - and there is very little up and down.
An assembly diagram would be good - does anyone out there have one?

    Thanks 416.

From the diagram it looks like I have assembled it all correctly. On closer inspection the link casting is simply off centre to the disc side. Although it would appear not to be a problem I will loosen it off and move it to the centre.

    Thanks again for your input.
