    Chain, Sprockets and gaiters

Where would the best place be to purchase a chain and sprocket set and a pair of gaiters for a 89 XR600?

I've called David Silver and he cant help with the gaiters, I'd just like to go to one store. Oh and I am looking for non standard sprockets...

    Cheers

www.bandcexpress.co.uk are good at sourcing C+S kits but i doubt they will have the gaiters you want, give them a ring and ask?

I would think for you either JD RAcing At Saltash would be a good bet although i don't like them in there or Albion but can't remember if they are exeter or plymouth, there used to be an offroad shop on union street in plymouth or hein gericke in plymouth

Come on think think think this is your town not mine !!!!!!!!!!1

    Re: Chain, Sprockets and gaiters

Me I,d try www.csmnl.com for the part numbers then off to www.lings.co.uk website for the bits, I have found lings so much cheaper, more so than JD racing, I just paid him £13.50 for two exhaust gaskets for my XR250R.
Then when I got home I had a look on ebay and low and behold with 10 mins to run and no bidders there was two gaskets for £4.50 and free P&P. B****cks. oh well live and learn.

    Re: Chain, Sprockets and gaiters

Well i did get my chain and sprockets from CMS, and the gaiters all now fitted.

I've gone for XL600R gearing which does make the bike nicer to ride, and the silicone rubber gaiters went on with very little trouble.

The bike does appear to have been very well looked after in its life as its very stock and unbattered.

    Cheers
