xr 500re engine help

Hello this is my first post on this site so hello to everyone.
im after some advice about some engine parts on my bike, firstly the bike is a 1984 xr500re fitted with a 500cc rfvc engine i seem to have found that these are extremely rare in the uk and i think it may have been imported from portugal.
Ever since i have had the bike there has been a knocking from the rocker area. i reset the tappets but still no better so i disconected the decompressor just incase that was catching, but still the same.
so to find the cause i have removed the engine and started to strip it down, on removing the rocker cover i have found what im almost certain is the problem.
no 3 cam follower is seriously worn andit has started to wear the cam lobe.

does any one know of where i may find some parts for this or of any engineering company that may be able to re-work the old parts.
any help is greatfully received.

evening my friend, looks like the top end has been subjected to oil starvation at some point.a good specialist engineer will be able to hard weld follower and camshaft and re profile shape.i havent had it done for years as e bay came along and its cheaper to buy second hand parts.the xr 500 parts are a bit thin on the ground but xl 500 parts should fit.you are lucky its not the previous 5oo s model as the cam ran directly in the alloy head without bearings.tts engineering sorted mine last time.good luck

for new parts try David Silver Spares. . . . . Ebay USA is a good bet also.
