Help! Rear Wheel Spindle Size XR125-L5

Help, I have bu99ered up the thread on the rear wheel spindle on my XR125 2005.
Anyone know what size diameter it is for when I go to buy a tapping kit in the morning, - don't have anything accurate to measure it with

Don't know what size it is, the bigger XR's are usually around 17mm, you might be better getting a secondhand one off Ebay, a die to re cut a thread on that will be expensive, I wanted a 24 mm die for a job I wanted to do £90 I didn't get it

you could buy a metric thread file for around a fiver
