    XR400 ignition box location

When I first bought my XR400 I noticed that should ever the chain snap, then there was a possibility that the ECU could be damaged by the flailing end. So I looked into relocating it to a safer position...as in the top of the airbox...& it also keeps it higher for those times when the Strata Florida is running a bit deep...

I found that the loom was plenty long enough without modification. It's held in place with tyraps with a bit of rubber underneath.

Also notice that some rubber strips have been added to the frame to isolate vibrations through to the plastic seat base. This makes the already comfortable seat more comfy when on a long ride.

The K&N filter is a push on type for the crankcase breather.
