84 paris dakar 600

i bought this 84 paris dakar for £370 just needed carbs cleaning and it wizzed through mot its all original apart from bars,i usually restore them but buyers now seem to like them original and un restored i must admit the 25 year old pattina adds coolness,maybe i wont restore after all this is my first attempt to load photos but to be honest i havent a clue how to do it i may have to keep trying,toodle pip!mark

I would guess they are getting quite rare now adays.

I have no idea if there are still OEM parts for them to be found, and the costs involved, but a nicley restored example keeping as close as possible to the original, would absolutley make my hart tick faster.

there are still some about kjell,this is an italian import imported to the uk in the 1990,s spares are still available from dave silver and of course e bay .a lot of the parts are interchangable with the rest of the xl 600 range i might still restore it but i am enjoying blasting about on the country roads up in east yorkshire,it must be the best handling of all the xl 600 range cheers mark
