    xr125l carb breather pipe?

hi all, does anybody know if the breather pipe coming from the bottom of the carb housing(sorry i havent got any pics as i just noticed it) is supposed to connect to anything at the other end, because it doesnt have any clip/clamp marks on it?

any info would be greatly appreciated.

    many thanks

The pipe leading from the bottom of the float chamber is an overflow pipe.
If the needle valve ever become blocked petrol will flow into the float chamber uncontrolled, and will come out through the overflow pipe.
The pipe is not meant to be connected to anything.

If you put a cut lengthwise up the pipe for about 10mm it will stop the pipe accumulating any mud on it, so that, as & when it does get covered in mud, it won't get blocked up.
