    XR 400 suspension upgrades

Hi all, just thinking about tuning the suspension on my xr 400 anybody have any suggestions on how to improve it ?
I ride a lot off road and i am looking for better handling, my weight is about 13 stone / 85 kilos
I would rather stick with the stock forks if i can.
    Thanks,
    Merry Christmas Adam.

I thought about Ohlins for mine but when speaking to sales at Ohlins they said i would never be on the right setting for what ever i was doing as they had too many adjustments. They said the Showa unit were a very good unit so get it rebuilt. I got hold K-Tech Suspension, road race and offroad motorcyle suspension sent them the rear shock and forks had a complete custom setup done cost about £85 for each end and the difference definatly showed no reason for buying new just getting it set up for your weight and type of riding transformed the bike completly. You do not need to buy new forks and shocks just get the original stuff setup properly. So then i sent my Gasgas EC250 to them to set that aswell
