xr /ft conversion

evening all,had a bad fall recently and smashed my kickstart foot and have had plates and screws inserted,**** happens,but now i cant kickstart my xr 500 twinshock gutted!so....well ive managed to get hold of an ft 500 motor which is realy just an xl/xr 500 motor with an electric start so im going to convert mine into a twinshock crosser,i will show you the pics when completed should look pretty cool.see you all for now mark

Hi Mark,

Good luck with the conversion, sounds like it should be straight forward (they always do sound easy at first don't they). I ruptured my Achilles 3 weeks ago, but have just gotten out of hospital from a pulmonary embolism, so worries about kicking the xr4 have gone in the background for now. Look forward to seeing the pics.

yeah its a shame ive got to give up kickstarts as there is something satisfying about using a kickstart rather pushing a button but my injury means its not possible and if the xr ever kicked back i would be in a world of pain,i will post pictures when completed ,a speedy recovery to you.mark
