Had a spare hour tonight whilst my little ones asleep so thought i would take a couple of pics of my bike. I bought it back in 2004 but i wont bore you with what iv said about my bike in my previous post in the new members section...

Anyone with a keen eye will see that the seat and tank are not fixed and theres no carb. The carbs getting a bit of an overhaul on saturday (hence the seat and tank been off) so there just rested in place. Also the headlight is off as iv been messing about with the indicators and its a bit easier to get to the wires with it out the way.

Got insurance sorted today so tuesday i will be at the local dvla branch to try and det it registered then hopefully be out which i cant wait for.












I live in a little village called ottringham just outside of Hull so if anyone around here wouldnt mind some company i could do with some easy riding to get me back into it after a 3-4 year break. We used to ride barton quarry a lot until they dug holes everywhere.

Also where can i get a header pipe heat shield from? Its about the only thing thats missing???

hii bro! Lots of my family are from ottringham! They own a farm there! I will be coming up soon when i get my new motocross bike, I mite bring my XR to, are there many legal byways or places to ride there? I would be up for riding man, james.

Alright James. To be honest mate theres nowhere around here to ride. We used to ride at Paull (another little village near by) where i used to live but they'v built a nature reserve there now so within half n hour the police are there telling us to move on. We also used to ride barton quarry but someone had a bad off there and broke an arm, leg and coller bone. There was no access for the ambulance so they had to get the helicopter to lift him out. Since then the company who owned it have dug 4 foot holes at the bottom of all the hills and jumps. This was a while ago now so it could be ridable again by now. theres also a quarry at south cave but iv never riden there so dont no much about it. There was also an old 4x4 track just up the road but again it got closed.

I was hoping someone on here would be able to shed some light on some byways around Hull for me.

ill give u a shout when i come up in the summer mate, maybe my uncle will let you ride the farm tracks and wood bit if i ask him then we can hit up the byways
