If the plastics are anywhere near as cheap as those on the Yam XTX660 then you'd be laughing. My mate bought a side fairing for his for £5 from Yamaha!! YES, £5!

He reckons he can get a complete set of fairing for £40! Madness! But good madness!

    Re: NEW Yamaha Tenere!

22 litre tank on a FI 660. If it's set up properly and ridden sensibly I reckon at least ........... 65 MPG ...... so a theoretical tank range of 314 miles ......... or about 270 -280miles to fuel light. Mega tourer !!!!

Factor it down a bit for loaded with luggage .... still pretty damned good.

Come on Honda FFS! your losing customers hand over fist here !!!! first McVicar lost to Kawasaki, then Sean away to Triumph, and Wee Jack seduced by the long legged Austrian ............who next I wonder ????? even the site owner has been lost from the fold !!

    WAKE UP CALL HONDA !!!!

It's not stopping there either, Derbi use the same lump if I'm not mistaken, and I think there are a few others I can't think of right now.

    MZ too I guess...
At least they used to use the old yam 660 engine, guess they're keeping up to date as well.

    peperoni please!

mt-03 has been licenced to so many companies, but they all seam to be upgrading (ignition, efi, cranks and soooo much more), getting more power out and better reliability (like MZ, Aprilia etc etc) yamaha are way behind though with the stock lump, and from all the reports the new bike has not got a newer spec.. pitty.

YEAH !! and soon you'll be able to put them all on a classic insurance.

What we need is a NEW!!! AFRICA TWIN - same attitude - same emotional draw.................. but deep down you just know Honda corporate tossers will spoil it , probably even drop the AT name in favour of some bland meaningless pish ..............
