    Re: XTZ1200 - I want one!!

    Taken from Yamaha web site
Oh, do I want one NOW!

    Achieving peak performance.
When the going gets tough, the new Yamaha Super Ténéré has the speed, skill and strength to reach new heights.
It helps that we’ve designed every millimetre of this intelligent adventure travel bike to adapt to any situation.
There’s the all-new big capacity parallel twin engine, which blends all the usable bottom end torque you’ll ever need with high levels of traction and controllability. The engine has a 270˚ crankshaft, bringing all the smoothness of a 360˚ design but with significantly better traction. That’s because our uneven firing intervals gives the rear tyre more recovery time between the engine’s power pulses, offering much better grip under power on any surface from smooth Alpine passes to the rocky paths of the Andes. These powerful engine characteristics are complemented by our sophisticated traction control system to make the new Super Ténéré one of the most controllable bikes in the world.
To reach the top, a bike needs to be innovative, which is why we’ve mounted the radiator and some of the electrical components on the sides of the engine. By then mounting it all forward in the frame, we’ve bestowed the new Super Ténéré with weight distribution that’s perfect both on and off-road. This design also gives the bike a long swingarm, providing excellent grip and stability.
And it doesn’t stop there; the engine is mounted low in the frame, which keeps the centre of gravity low, manageable and stable to enhance controllability still further. The frame is also meticulously designed to give consistently well-balanced handling characteristics, whether you’re riding solo or two-up fully-loaded.
Our unique combination of perfect weight distribution and a low centre of gravity gives the new Super Ténéré spot on handling characteristics: certainly handy when you need to readjust your entry for the 47th downhill hairpin of the Stelvio Pass. Or you’re tackling the scenic twists and turns of the historic Great St. Bernard Pass in Switzerland. One thing’s for certain; with our Yamaha D-MODE set to your favourite mode you’ll want the corners to keep coming anyway.
We also understand that when you’re carefully picking out a line across boulders in remotest Arctic Norway, the last thing you need is a mechanical problem. With this in mind, we’ve tested our new engine rigorously, covering every terrain - from off-road and mountainous to urban. You can ride on, knowing that your Super Ténéré is as solid as the rocks you’re riding over.
Still, thanks to the way it’s been designed – tough, versatile, powerful, light and agile – it really doesn’t matter where you take the new Super Téneré.
Because wherever you go, you’ll find yourself on top of the world.
In our next issue, we’ll take you to another extreme location to showcase more of the features that help make the new Super Téneré the very pinnacle of adventure motorcycling.
For now, we’d like to wish you an adventure-filled 2010.

The new Yamaha Super Ténéré. Go beyond

    I like this:

Does this mean the rider does not have to be awake when riding.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE
