Yamaha XJR1300

Anybody got an opinion on this bike? I'm looking for something to complement my Africa Twin and wondered if these are any good. Opinions please.

Re: Yamaha XJR1300

Moved it into the Yam forum might get more hits.

I had one out on an extended test ride once. Good comfy bike. Everybody you speak to will tell you "it's a nice bike" no nasty surprises, unless you ride it through the winter

Re: Yamaha XJR1300

Just noticed this and dont know if its too late now, but I guess it depends on what your expecting. Do you like chrome cleaning on a bike that can have a bad finish. I loved mine for a straight line grunt beast and it always turned heads. It was comfortable for a few hours sunny days riding but the petrol was terrible if having fun on the gas.

Re: Yamaha XJR1300

Hi, Have to agree with Phil, they are great bikes for pure grunt in a straight line, just don,t ask it to go round corners too quick!! Ive had mine for 3 yrs now and love it, but wind the throttle open and she,ll empty the tank like there was a hole in it !!!
