Yamaha 2009 range.

It’s that time again.. Today I got through the official email that the press website (and I assume the public one too) will have the line up for the whole 2009 model range.

The announcement will be made on Monday and I will of course post up what’s passed on to me shortly afterwards. :rolleyes

Re: Yamaha 2009 range.

Sorry but no details of the new super tenere from the press release of the 2009 range. Details of the new bike will probably besaved for one of the big shows.

New for the 2009 adventure range is mainly color changes to the XT and TDM range, the khaki has been dropped from the XT660Z with BLUE replacing it.

Jen will be around later or tomorrow to post a few more details/pics..

Re: Yamaha 2009 range.

Blue with yellow speed blocks would be cool on the XTZ

Jen's resizing the pic of the xt660z as I type (it's a press image so it's 5600x3700 in size, but it's very blue with black plastics and a small splash of the yamaha yellow

Re: Yamaha 2009 range.

the official new 2009 line up includes....

1. The all-new YZF-R1 with MotoGP-derived engine technology
2. The new all-rounder XJ6 Diversion
3. The gutsy XVS950A Midnight Star
4. The urban supermoto and enduro 125cc WR125X and WR125R
5. The 50cc Neo's now also available with 4-stroke technology

and all other minor- and/or colour changed motorcycle and scooter models.

However as said above no new S10 in 2009, Although not 100% confirmed its fairly certain that a proto is at InterMot in a few weeks and i still believe its an easter 2010 release... but I could be wrong!

As for the XTZ660z I like the new colour, the khaki was never going to be a big seller but the new blue puts the bike in in line with the official Yamaha colours which will make it much more liked.... one concern is the paint looks to be metallic which may be an issue for some on an off-road bike.

so mainly blue, with black frame and sub work, silver and black engine and a flash of yellow/orange... daft colours, who would be stupid enough to paint their bikes those colours!

I'd have preferred solid blue and more yellow like the old bike that they used in the original advertising pics:

but you can't have everything

New XJ6 Divvy? Could be an interesting challenger for the Deauville, I suppose
