Have you tried talking it off and putting it in the airing cupboard for a couple of days to dry out, if it has been left outside the damp may have got in Merv

Thanks, but no, its not damp. I spoke to a yamaha dealer mechanic and he has told me something to try. What he did tell me though is that it is under warranty still so if i can't fix it then they will have to!
