I'm on the Safe House List
03 TA Blue, Givi bars, centre stand, Givi Pannier racks, heated grips, MRA Vario - smooth!
Also 4x4 with a towbar - and a trailer!

Great old bikes but I rekon even better is the DR350 went out with one a few weeks back and it pulled fantastic and was nippy also. Very impressed with it
Probably explains why the XT's are showin up cheaper than the DR's then! Cheers Phil!

They are heavy for the power, and can be a real pig to start/re-start. Cheap good fun though.
.
Sold mine last year. Good bike for the money (i.e they're cheap). Weigh about 120kg so easy to get around on (and lift....). I found mine was a doddle to start hot or cold - I've had a XT600 that was easy to start cold but a pig when hot - and a XR600 that was vice-versa.
For green laning they're a good bike for the money providing it's nothing too serious as the suspension is quite soft. Servicing-wise it's simple to look after - but setting up the twin carb can be tiresome (one carb operates at low revs, you 'balance' them so the second one chimes in at the correct time. If it's wrong the bike wont run right at speed. They're twin cam with shimmed valves. Have a good look inside the tank if you view any - as they're getting on, a lot of them rust out which bungs up the fuel tap.
