Does anyone have an early '80's XT250?

I've recently acquired one that's 90% complete, I just need a few photo's of clocks, headlamp and mounting etc. to find out exactly what's missing. Any info appreciated. Ta.

    Evening Alison,

Has Steve still got Stuart's old XT250??

    Cheers

    Ian

    Dear Ian

Yes, as a matter of fact he has, and if I had time I'd tell you about all the other old ****e he's still got!!!

    Dear Ian

I stand corrected, apparently it's all precious/desirable/collectable/priceless - in fact it's the sort of ****e that certain types of people would happily die for!! Silly girly me!!

3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

...and it usually does come in handy, just after you throw it out!

I've still got old 400/4, GS750, z650 and Trumpet 6T bits lying around 'just in case'. Nothing of any particular use to anyone you understand...until I chuck 'em out!

    Yen & Bob - I've PM'd you.

    Sorry Jim,

I see my mistake now, what I meant was I've got a lot of old tat lying around but unfortunately nothing for a XT250

Re: Does anyone have an early '80's XT250?

Reading the recent posts do we need a "Tat Swop Corner" on the site ?

I too got loads... erm 2 sheds & an attic full.

But i have had over 30 yrs of the most memorable times enjoying the machines that made me accumulate the Tat !!

& for anyone who doubts value of what wimmen call "Tat" (unless its their Tat !!) I sold a 750 Commando Seat/ tank Cover/ Orig Stadium Goggles (all discovered in dad's attic when i had to dgo round & fix his Ballcock last year) for Total of £230.00 plus post !!

My serious advice is - hang on to anything bike wise thats sellable till they get rarer - my bits didnt do any harm in Dads loft for 30 yrs and look at the profit on 3 items that prob cast circa £20 the lot !!

I know the £20 worth more then but even so ! We could build up good retirement funds here Guy's

God that thought has inspired me...

Better to Die with a Shed full of Tat than live a life that didnt need it in the first place !!
