XTZ 660 linkage bearing costs

Hi Guys, mine Tena Lady (I know need a new name for her, and when she earns an MoT maybe she will get one) well she failed on excessive play on the rear suspension linkage bearing (the bottom lowest one) the garage reckons it will have to be an OE and ball park £30-40 parts plus hour labour.
Any knowledge/ help links welcome (also a new name might be good, altough earned it after failing the test!)

Cheers Shack

2000 XRV750 (NO 3), I think I'm getting the hang of them now, must fit the centrestand before the back tyre wears out. Damn, the driveshaft bearing wore out first!

Re: XTZ 660 linkage bearing costs

Thanks for the heads up, the garage decided to grease the bottom bearing and replace the top bush, that, an MoT and readjusting the headlamp cost £100! 1.5 hr labour seemed slow but could have been worse.
I need to change my sprocket carrier bearings and I guess cush rubbers etc, Wemoto have the bearings but don't know about the rubbers, also looing for a new rear wheel (garage missed the severe wheel rot!)

Re: XTZ 660 linkage bearing costs

Found wheel rims stainless steel on ebay around 80 pounds . respoked myself after taking photo of the wheel , using masking tape to hold the spokes in pairs whilst still on the inner wheel hub then reassembled on the new rims.Bit tricky but can be done, just tightening up was tricky as well but managed to get them both evenly spinning in the hubs.Unless you can get someone else to respoke your wheels for you, only found my aluminium hubs rotted when I had to change inner tube.Glad to have that job out the way.
