Wish me luck

I'm just about to leave for a 50 mile journey to work riding a.....

YBR125 with L plates on.

Delivery job for someone who has their test next week.

Naturally it's tipping it down outside.

2000 XRV750 (NO 3), I think I'm getting the hang of them now, must fit the centrestand before the back tyre wears out. Damn, the driveshaft bearing wore out first!

Re: Wish me luck

Made it eventually. My bum was okay, pretty comfy seat, but I was all scrunched up and that made my back ache. Managed to get it up to 65mph a few times, it didn't want to know after that even if I went close to the redline in each gear. I expect it'll loosen up as the mileage increases then maybe 70mph will be achievable.

No bugger nodded at me, but I did enjoy jousting with all the other L platers and scooters on the A12 when I eventually got to it.

Filled it up on the way, 6 quid for 150 miles done previously!

Re: Wish me luck

I recently rode my sons Honda NSR125 into town & back, before dropping it off at the local dealer for a service. So in total 3 miles top. I was in agony and anyone would have thought I had never ridden a bike in my life.

Re: Wish me luck

I'm leaving work in a minute to complete delivery to Epping area. Weather looking much better now. Going briefly up the M11 with L plates bolted/stuck on so may get a tug........ Got my insurance with me in case they try to seize the bike as uninsured (it's registered to a girlie and despite my slim hips I'm unlikely to be mistaken for one).

Good luck, on getting off the bike when you get there.
