According to a report in the "Weekly Beano" (MCN) the only pics that exist of the new Super Tenere are of a scale model that was produced to get dealer opinions. Production is currently on hold because Yamaha is a bit cash-strapped. Any other images, especially those of that super polished carbuncle are images of the concept bike.

I was told by my local honda dealer that his honda rep said Honda are definatly working on a 1200 adventure sport bike, with the new vfr 1200 motor, but it would probabley not be released in the next couple of years.

That video was not what I was hoping. As for the bike... Will it be an adventure bike or andventure style bike(rhetorical question, although the new tenere seems to be a very competent machine out of the crate according to riders on HUBB).

So it will be the same TDM engine, but have they learnt nothing? Side-mounted radiator? Why?!?

If it is a real adventure bike, or could be, people will ride to far away places. If they do that they may go off-road. They may fall over and what better way to strand someone in the Atacama than by putting the rad where it can get holed by the first available dead branch, rock or rib from an animal carcass??!?

Would it be another bike to cover in trinkets and then park up in front of a pub a whole 12 miles outside the city... Nothing wrong with that per se, but a well-designed bike that could be used as a bona fide overland bike would be preferable: then trinkets are compulsory!!

Sorry, but adventure wise, sounds like a sheep in wolf's clothing...
