Re: 2010 Super Tenere

Similar story in my local Honda dealer a couple of weeks ago... looks like Honda are increasing prices for 2010.

This one looks to be across the board - anyone would think these guys get together over sushi and agree their pricing policy en masse. Coupled with the return to 17.5% VAT it makes for a big step increase.

Mind you, Yamaha seem to need cash - maybe an accountant there has worked out the optimum increase to get some flowing in.

Re: 2010 Super Tenere

After reading on the net and the XTZ forum of the possible spec this mystery bike may come with (ABS Traction control & shaft drive etc ) and Yamahas current price increaces it's going to be well out of my bike budget.

Think i'll be keeping the @ for a while longer.

Re: 2010 Super Tenere

I used to think nobody in their right mind would fork out for a new GS or a KTM dirt bike or a Adventurer new but it is supply and demand led. All bikes is going up and we a as a nation is poorer so put up or hope you have something reliable until dodgy imports take off again in a couple of years.

Re: 2010 Super Tenere

It's gonna be going against the "long way round" market, but I don;t think it'll be anything like the vara/v-storm, for that yammie already have the tdm900

Re: 2010 Super Tenere

I believe I have just experienced a "sticky pant moment"

Some of the equipment and liveries in that (fantasy) video were spot-on in my opinion, so it's just a shame that what will arrive in the showroom probably won't look anything like them

As far as I know, all UK bike prices are dictated by the Euro, because bikes are purchased from Japan into Europe using Euros. This is obviously complicated even further when Euros have to be converted to sterling.
