These pictures and comments are to be used in conjunction with the (some what sparse) instructions provide by GIVI. They are used at your own risk and are merely a pictorial record of the procedure I carried out.
The whole procedure took me about 3 hours including two cups of tea and the taking of the digital photos.
Sundry hadware supplied with the rack

Tubular side racks and cross brace
To fit the pannier holders you will need to remove the seat, side panels, top box plate (if fitted), rack, tail cover, rear light and the rear indicators. The rear indicators are re mounted at the back of the Honda rack.

If you have a Givi Top box mounting plate remove it by un doing the 6 nuts and bolts securing it to the Honda rack

Once the top plate has been removed, remove the seat, and loosen or remove both of the side panels then undo the 4 bolts holding the rack to the bike you should now be able now remove the rack. This pictures shows the back two bolts see previous picture for the location of the front two bolts.

This shows the tail cover you should be able to simply lift it off

This shows all bits that need to be removed except the indicators

The next stage is to remove the indicators so that they can be repositioned later
Disconnect the indicator cables

Undo the 3 bolts that hold the brake light on

Brake light removed

unbolt the indicators

Fit the indicator cable extenders supplied with the Givi fitting kit and push the cables out through the holes where the indicators were fitted

Re attach the brake light making sure the indicator cables are sticking out of the old indicator mounting holes

This is the bit were you need sixteen hands and needle thin fingers
Replace the tail cover
Line up to side panels
Replace the Honda rack and screw the new bolts in so the rack is still nice and loose
bolt the bottom of the rack to the hole just above the rear foot rest

You should now be able to drill the hole in the rear mud guard / number plate for the cross brace member
I was able to comfortable fit a battery operated drill above the rear wheel to this

Re visit all fixings ensuring that they are all tighten down to the recommend torque settings

Final phase is to re fit and re connect the indicators with the supplied brackets

The end
