ViewsTouratech RD07From Honda Trail Bike WikiThe Touratech pannier racks come in 3 parts (left side, right side and connector), a replacement pillion exhaust heat shield and a bag of 4x40mm bolts, 2 x 30mm bolts, 2 x 20mm bolts, 4 x Nyloc M6 nuts, 2 x large M8 washers, 2 x large M6 washers and 6 small M6 washers Follow the instructions and remove the seat, rear rack and grabrails, pillion footpegs, silencer heat guard and the forward two bolts of the rear indicators (closest to front of bike). Start with the right-hand side rack, and offer it up, making sure that the rear-most attachment point is wheel-side of the indicator mount thus: Re-attach the right-hand pillion footpeg, loosely bolting it in with the original bolts, and then loosely attach the indicator mount with the supplied 30mm M6 bolts, washers and nylock nuts: Repeat for the other side The racks are now loosely held on by the two footbeg bolts and one indicator mount per side. The next step is the upper mounts - attach the forward upper mount below the front grab rail mount using the new supplied bolts, doing them up loosely once again. Remove the 6mm allen-headed bolts from the rubber grommets in the middle grab-handle/rack mounts, put the spacers inside the rubber grommets, and screw down the 40mm bolts with a washer on top. Then bolt down the rearmost top rack mounts, added the cross-bar with the supplied 20mm M6 bolts, washers and Nyloc nuts, make sure everything is nice and tight for all the new mounting points and add the included silencer heel guard. |
