Afternoon. My first post here.
Just acquired a scruffy 2002 Transalp 650. However, all seems reasonably sound with history etc.
However, clutch seems very heavy, even with new cable. Before I dismantle, any thoughts please?
Perhaps just bunged up with crud from the past 36,000 miles?
I'm taking delivery of a new 2018 Africa Twin Adventure Sport this afternoon but I won't be getting the owners manual until later next week. Do you know where to get an electronic copy of the owners manual and also how do you run-in the engine on the new bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
On my last AT I had a volt meter that I bought from ebay that was basically a bulb in a rubber shroud that changed colour depending on the voltage. it was the perfect size to fill the space in the dash box that houses the lights for oil, neutral, highbeam, and indicaters. I have spent the...

So I am well versed in carburettors however with all the tubing attached to the Varadero I am a bit bemused. Just started her up this afternoon and fuel began spewing out of one of the overflow pipes which...
Afternoon all, just wondered if anyone fancied clearing their Bongo before the Autumn/Winter sets in, watching the usual sites and FB pages (not to mention Evilbay) 3-3.5k is a reasonable chunk. Needs an aft roof and if converted then a rear not side conversion.
You know the feeling dont you ,end of the month and almost skint.
The sun was shining today and it was five days until payday so I had to go and get groceries to fill the fridge until next week.

Just bought a used Scottoiler of the Ebay and fitted to my FX 650 Vigor this afternoon (yes Bobn, it's still making me smile). Being as I am frugal - 'read tight' I'm hoping I don't have to buy Scottoiler branded oil. Can anyone advise as to what oil I can find in my workshop I can use in the...

Went to Gzira for afternoon tea with the eighty-nine year old ‘Father-in-law.’
Across the road from his apartment, a motorcycle parking bay, occupied by a knocked over moped … grrr
And no ****er had bothered to pick it up.
Double Grrr !
So, of course, I went and did.
Yours angrily incensed...
I've spent a couple of hours fitting a Heavy Duties centre stand this afternoon. Just thought I'd post a recommendation for anyone looking to fit one. It came a week after ordering, fitted perfectly (no need to remove the exhaust) and will make maintaining the bike so much easier. Definately one...
I just bought myself an 8GB MP3 player and just spent the afternoon filling it up with my favourite tunes.:D:D:D
If you had to choose your top 10 albums ,what would they be and why?
If I see enough good suggestions ,I may have to get another memory card.:clown:
