My nx650 RD02 (1989) is in need of a new shock. The current shock is an old Hagon that is at least 20 years old fitted by the previous owner and I doubt very much it is serviceable by the look of it.
Im on a tight budget (meaning I don’t want to spend a fortune) but need to replace it...
Long time dont see!
came across this on an xr650r group ... anybody ever tried it? seems an excepcional idea to avoid the Achilles' heel on the XRV 750 and TRANSALP
Has anyone tried out the kk bike sprokets? I think they look pretty good If you want to avoid shaft wear.
If not I just ordered a superpinion and will report back in about 2 years.
I'm just going through my new to me Transalp 700, fitting a scottoiler and have discovered a major defect in the chain. PO stated chain and sprockets were about 1k old, no discerable wear on sprocket and chain could not be pulled away from the rear sprocket teeth and plenty of adjustment left, I...
I hope this isn't too much of a newbie question but...
I had a bit of a weird rattle coming from the front end whilst braking on cobble and, on checking, one of my caliper bolts (on my RD04) has gone AWOL
So, my first question - It's these things right? OEM Honda Flange Bolt 8X40...
1 month left on my policy that I had not made a claim on. Sold bike & so informed the company. They offered a £9 refund and a £50 charge for the "Admin"; net result I owe £41 to cancel. If I don't cancel and pay then they will cancel and send me the bill anyway. How can it cost £50 to type into...
So I failed an MOT on an exhaust hole I didn't notice had formed.
Fast forward to today and a bit of the wire brush and I have a lovely hole and surrounding rust. I guess I can patch it somehow but not sure of best way. Someone mentioned a sleeve but if I can avoid removing the whole system...

I know this topic has been done to death but i'm after a touring screen for my 600 transalp. I'm around 5'10 with average proportions.
I've done a lot of reading and the MRA screens seem to come out well, but i'm not sure if the general reviews i've read are for the touring or touring...
I am currently searching for new bushings and spacers (and bolts and seals) for the Pro Link rear suspension linkage, anyone know if someone are selling these parts?
Mine are very rusty and I am rebuilding the whole bike so I would like to get new parts to avoid future problems.
Thanks for the help on the previous post. I am looking to fit some hand guards & a taller screen on my 650v. Is their any recomendations, or any to avoid. The hand guards are more to keep the wind off, not smash into trees.
Or do I just buy a new AT?
hoping somebody can point me in the right direction to cure an irritating fault;
1987 600 transalp
always fires up on just the rear pot
sometimes the front kicks in after a minute or two but normally I end up riding off down the road for half a mile or so before it decides to join...

After having bought a car yesterday( a boring Corolla estate), it was time to upgrade the bike today:thumbright:
The garage gave me a very generous trade-in on the RT, and I need to donate a certain sum of cash, and then we both get new owners…probably on thursday.
The garage is doing the...
