  1. Another one saved.

    Transalp
I had a rare spare few minutes this week so carried out a few checks and maintenance on the bikes. Now, the new to me (well 11 months) Transalp is a 2001 on 52 reg and only just turned 14k all seems in good order with no horrors lurking. I popped the sprocket cover off for a look-see, well...

  8. Rear mudguard

    Africa Twin
As I'm wading through the previous owners 'enhancements' (or bodges as I like to call them!), I now realise the rack was fitted through added holes in the rear mudguard. Tucked away under the rear carrier I didn't notice the extra 'ventilation' until removed for cleaning. Does anyone know if...

    Bodgers Corner
I wanted an ignition switched power supply in the top box with ciggy & usb point but also with the option of charging stuff overnight or when parked but didn't want the risk of depleting the bikes battery (unlikely) if charging multiple items when parked.... Also to cut down on the ciggy style...

  14. Who makes the best repro stickers for an RD03?

    Africa Twin
I am extremely touchy when it comes to reproduced stickers. Been working for 20 years as an art director and can easily make the difference between superb and the rest. I can reproduce the logos with Illustrator myself (been using it since 1987), but perhaps good exemples already exist. Who has...
  15. At it again!

    Bodgers Corner
This time with the car. The new-to-us Mondeo has a duff boot release switch, you know the touch pad on the tailgate. A quick investigation shows the microswitch has terminal internal corrosion - all internal contacts fell to bits as soon as I touched them :( There are no suitably sized...

  18. Hi from NZ

    I'd like to introduce myself....................
Just bought myself a 1990 XL250 Baja. From what I can find online it seems to be a Japanese only model. My intention is to try and renovate back to standard. At some time in the past the twin headlights have been swapped for a single, which in my opinion does look better, but if I can source a...
