I've not posted for ages, I've been a touch busy with other bikes/hobbies/diy and life. I've also not ridden my XR for some time due to pain in my right foot as I found kicking it over was far from comfortable, even with an enduro boot on.
Today I go the results from the doctor...
Hi, do any of you guys have any idea what a 1978 Orange tank black side panels Honda XL125 is worth at all please.
She has seen a lot of better days, bit scruffy and in need of quite a few parts inc wiring harness and silencer. Got a dink in the tank too.
Got a list of about 30 bits to find...
I have a seat which I believe is an RD04 which is surplus to my requirements. It came in a box-o-bits I got. It was covered in some black fabric, which looked awful but kept the seat underneath in very good nick. It looks like an original, and it is in what I’d consider a really...

This is my interpretation of a chain oiler.
Initial ideea was a gravity based drip with some sort of auto-off when engine is not running.
Plastic bottle(preferably HDPE to withstand oil in the long run)
1/4 brass barbed connector
6MM gasoline hose
5mm copper brake pipe
What type of coolant are you using, I don't know whether to use ethylene glycol silicate based or the later type O.A.T (organic antifreeze technology) does not contain silicate. Im'e not bothered about the antifreeze aspect as the bike (650) never sees frost but wondering about the...
Changes to moped and motorcycle training to make sure newly-qualified riders are better prepared for riding on modern roads.
Should motorcyclists be able to upgrade their licence to ride larger bikes by taking a training course, instead of having to take more tests ?

Had my xr a while now, and previously had a bit of a mare with its well documented issues. Upon rejetting based on no snorkel and a uni filter, and some help from a member on here, I fitted 178/68. It still leaked when on its side, and still a sod to start etc.
Reading that this...
I know it's on quite short notice but since there are some Swiss (Based) XRV'ers in this forum I post it anyway.
Honda Switzerland has organised an Africa Twin Meet in Aeschi (some km's from Spiez/Interlaken) on 01 October 2016.
See the link to the official flyer for more details...
I have recently removed all these items from my 87 TA. As you will see in the pictures that they are differing condition. Some have lugs missing, some have scratches etc
Also included is a red nose cone which I originally bought off ebay to replace the butchered one in the pics.
A friend of mine, based in Lithuania, has a line on steel cables that can be used to secure items to bikes.
As far as I know, thickness can be 2, 3 4 or 6mm (possibly also other thicknesses) and the length is customisable. There'd be a loop at either end and it'd be shrouded in 2mm...

My CRF1000L now has about 3,000 miles done and although far from desperate, I was hoping the Anakee or Tourance tyre would be available by now, err... no. :(
I am after a set that are roughly 80% road, 20% off road - ish. I do like the idea of going off road on my bike, but the stock...
Hi Sorry if this is covered elsewhere but I can't see it?
I'm on Anakee 3's running at 30 & 35 psi. front is fine
The rear has squared off like its low on pressure but the ride feels hard and I think should be 40 psi?
I ride on road only and my main priority is wet & dry grip...
I have got 1999 FX650 with stock rear shock. It was set on medium preload, and I hit thru it quite often while riding with passenger and now and then when riding alone. Now I have set the preload to max, I almost never hit it thru when riding alone and rarely do when I ride with passenger...
I have upgraded communication system on the bikes, and am now working with bluetooth headsets. I have done this not because they are better than autocom, but because I share helmets across bikes, and the autocom system does not allow this easily....If I had one bike, I would still...
