Hey NX650 from 1988. Have a jet kit in the mail and planning on doing Dave's mod. I wanted to take the carburetor apart and clean it up before hand, but having trouble getting two of the screws in the float chamber out - seem very soft and I don't want to ruin them. I have PH and PZ...

Hi again On the left side of the carb on my Dommie there is a plastic bottle type container which I assume is part of the crank case breather. Certainly in the diagrams I have found, that appears to be what it is. Can I remove it and replace it with a bit of tube that does away with the bottle...

Most of Henrietta is now back where it should be and looking tidy. Under the tank is just the fuel pipe to the pump but the parts diagram seems to show other hoses (parts 45, 46 & 48). there seem to be 2 short pipes under the tank (nr the fuel tap), one is 10.5mm and the other 5.5mm. Does anyone...

Hi chaps.. Got an oil leak on Africa Twin RD07A. It seems to be originating from the area of the oil filter. Drops of oil seem to drip onto the bash plate and from there drip onto the ground. Could just be the oil filter seal, but is there anything else in that area of the bike that might be the...

Did some servicing on my AT today (changed the fork fluid, which looked quite good for almost 50000 miles), and I noticed the end of the breather pipe from the crank case was plugged. I yanked the plug out, and out came a bunch of water mixed with a little bit of oil sludge which smelled...

RD07A... Hi guys. I'm putting the bike back together and want to know where the carb breather pipe goes. There is a T piece by the fuel tap that goes from both carbs. The pipe goes down to the bash plate to drain and there is a loose pipe up under where the tank goes. Is this just supposed to be...

Hi Its been covered I think, having trouble locating simple answers ( just me and the topic and beer). Is it just a matter of; 1. Ripping the lot out. 2. plug all the holes. 3. run a pipe from the engine breather to a oil breather filter under the seat. Apologies if its a little vague as...

Hello, Just doing some general fettling on the AT last weekend which involved lifting the fuel tank. I spotted what looks like a breather pipe (photo below) which is only connected at one end, the other end has a clip on the end which suggests it should be connected to something - the Haynes...

When I first got my Dominator it used to stall a lot and not tick over sometimes, I was always bump starting it at round abouts. Anyway , after lots of checking etc I found that all the breather pipes where blocked with sand and dirt. After cleaning these out it was like having a bike. This...
