Made a boo boo and bought a tubeless rear tyre. I've always fitted my own but they've all been tubed tyres. This one is especially ridged and i reckon could be a bit of a bugger to get on. Anyone with any experience of fitting tubeless tyres ? Cheers Bob.

Hello, I am after a '99 rear brake bracket that the brembo caliper slides on as I have bent mine after beating it with a hammer in anger as the little bugger wouldn't separate! Brakes are binding a bit now as the caliper doesn't slide like it should. If anyone has a spare one lying around then...

She just doesn't want to take 90% of the time. Squirt some WD in there and she's fine for an hour. I've heard tale that inside the switchgear is a maze of spings and things that are a bugger to get back in place so I'm reluctant to open her up. I'll give it a go I guess but in case it's...

When chasing one of the faster guys down on the Tour of Portugal rally a few weeks ago, me and the bike caught some roost and later discovered that i'd stupidly left the headlight protector off and as such have smashed a headlamp. Bugger! As such i need a replacement, its the offside one thats...

I'm not getting in first because I'm a sad old bugger with nowhere to go on new Year's Eve, it's because I'm in NZ and already wearing off the hangover. And because I'm feeling some sympathy for you lot because it's peeing down here as well. Admittedly, for the first time in weeks, and there...

Just bought a sl 100 for trips to the shop, light off road playing. The engine is no good, what other engines can be used, or likely cost of a rebuild? Any ideas

rear shocks fubared on my rd04 so i ring a breaker and he's only one on the shelf for an rd07, so i buy it thinking all that the difference is a bit longer length which i can live with.....do a search on here and its becoming obvious that i'm going to run into issues with the preload pipe...
  10. Wheels, Tyres & Tubes
Always had TT tyres on spoked wheels and fitted/removed /repaired them myself I'm now in the market for a new set of Avon Gripsters but the cheapest set in my required size are TL. Basically I don't want to buy tyres if they are likely to be a pain in the butt to repair on the roadside due to...

Just cleaned the accumulated winter crappage off the @ and found this nasty on the rear wheel. Is this what I think it is?

Ok...stupid question, but I am a curious bugger.. I have used an AT sump guard on my alp and it fits just fine, however there is a small section which has been made into a flap and folded in...can you guys illuminate me as to its function on the @... it seems to be harmless/useless on the TA R.

  14. Dominator / FMX
Sorry to be tedious, but I've just changed the oil and filter on my RD02 and filled up with about 1.9l of oil. This time I thought I'd follow the manual and advice on here and remove the bolt above the brake pedal and let the oil trickle out until the correct level was reached. I'd run the...
  15. Dominator / FMX
Hi, I just bought my first Dominator, 1994 in pretty good nic but has been kept outside and not run for a bit. After charging the battery it fires up but with the clutch pulled and put in first it stalls. Dont know if the clutch has stuck or what. If I roll it down hill in first will it loosen...

Hello I have a '97 TA600 with a centrestand fitted. It is the type that has 2 u-bends for feet and you can raise from either side of the bike. It has only one spring fitted which allows the stand to sag and scrape the road sometimes when cornering. I guess there should be 2 springs? Also its a...
  18. Varadero
Just got rid of the DEATHwings and plumped for a set of Anakee 2's. Wow what a difference! Got a full tank of gas and hit the first round about. The combination of a full tank and new boots sent me over so fast I could barely recover. And I was being careful!! Schoolboy error! Mind you, it's not...

Finally got enthused to sort out the glare on my Givi GPS case... This is the case. It's a good little set-up, but 'cos of the mounting point on the bars, reading it in bright sunshine is a bugger... Rear view; Wasn't sure what material to use, then had a brainwave in the...

Trying hard tae find a mair dog legged or adjustable clutch lever for ma nearest and dearest other halfs 125 Varadero. Shes only got wee mitts and the span is jist on the limit o her reach making for the occasional dodgy take off! Ah see that the earlier model Vara125 clutch lever seems tae be...
