So I just bought my first "proper" bike. 1998 AT RD07 with 44,000km on the clock. It's pretty mint and seems well maintained. Fires up immediately, idles good, pulls good, no dramas.
Just that the vibrations are horrible above 4500rpm. On the highway I do not exceed 80kph for any length of...

I have a XRV RD04 1991.
Reading all service manuals and visiting all websites in the world, don't clarify which needle jet holder goes where. One have 6 holes - one have 10 holes.
My logic tells me, that the one with 10 holes is in carburettor 1, since its jetted a little larger than...

Hi there, I have an a 1982 xl500s trail bike. Engine has just been rebuilt - starts ok but runs erratically at low revs and gets very hot. It has had new valves, new air cut off valve in carburettor. No air leaks that I can see, carb has been cleaned, jets etc. Running out of ideas, any...

There is hardly any info available on the web so at the moment I have no manual or even a handbook.
The engine is apparently the same as that in a XR400 (or KR400?) so I should be able to service the engine OK.
- but the...
