I'll try keep this short, many moons ago, i lent a twin out to a friend for a day, he went up lakes with R1's..... So, after a while it became my daily ride....ride her til she dies.........yeah. afew years on, always left outside, ran daily, without fuel pump, late oil changes.... cam chains...
This applies to a 2011 model XL 700V.
It has gone 53000 km. The problem started at about 50000 km.
Is there anyone in Norway who has had the same symptoms?
Or is it a Reodor Felgen out there who has some smart input?

My 600 (1987) developed a flat spot this afterrnoon, around 4,500 revs she bogs down momentarily before picking up again.
It feels like fuel starvation, except that she'll then shoot round to the red line with no problem.

Carb off, intense inspection, clean, change some bits, jets, diaphragm etc
Currently on 155 main, 55 slow, small washer under needle

So I was cursing at 120kph and then the engine cut out, it was exactly like I hit the kill switch. The engine died instantly.
I tough it was the CDI but there two of them and if you loose one you loose only one cylinder not two.
Possibly both of the CDIs blew at the same...

So I have no choice but to cancel the Dominator insurance. This obviously leaves me very vulnerable should the worst happen. The policy has only just renewed but sadly the MOT runs out early March which would mean the policy is invalid according to the documents that I received.
