Does anyone know if an FMX650 CDI will work in an FX650? FMX CDIs are cheap and plentiful and FX CDIs are not.

Does any one see a reason this would be an issue ? That is an rd04 CDI in a place of the twin CDIs in a 1987 transalp they seem to work just not sure if there is any long term issues
