Anyone taken the oil strainer out of the bottom of their frame?
Tried removing it yesterday, so i could check it, and get frame ready for powder coat, but could not get it to undo.
Tried interlocking two spanners to get a higher torque, but still no joy.
Any tips on removal???

Need recondition ... frame is rusted to f**k nothing new . Was wondering what's best way to go powdercoating or painting ? Or is there anything else ?

I'm rushing & prep'ing a frame for a rebuild for next week and have just been offered a powdercoating for free on top of the bead blasting service a local garage offers.
I've got tons of Hammerite spray so I can easily do 3 - 5 layers.

Hi I've just put my A/T back together after a complete strip down, powder coat and rebuilt but i am having problems with the clutch cable, which ever way i'am routing it it seems to long and i can't get the slack out of it any suggestions PS I didn't remove it:thumbup:
I have recently bought an xr400 which I would like to strip down to powder coat/repaint the frame. Are there any tips/techincal sections or do's and don'ts that anyone can offer please?
