    Hello Gents, If I wanted to use an earth fed switch (momentary push type) to kill the ignition, which wire do I need to feed the earth to? The standard Domi kill switch just cuts the power to the CDI, but I am trying to simplify the wiring and switches. Many thanks Jim

    Hi Guys bought a 2002 XR400 saturday rode it home 80 miles no problems apart from getting soaked due to a storm when almost home,washed the bike next day and now it starts ok after 2/3 kicks but everytime you twist the throttle it splutters and cuts out any ideas. Cheers Nick

    on the xl model carb which position is the choke on/open?. is is with the lever uppermost or in its lowest position. bike only starts with lever in lowest position[butterfly shut] then cuts out in uppermost position thanks

    Now I know we've had a fair few threads regarding rough running SLR's recently, some of them being my own! I've managed to put it down to my carb's icing when the temperature is low and it's foggy. Adding Pro FST to my tank has since stopped all that and the bike has been running great again...

    Looks like you'll need to stick to major trunk routes if you want to be able to blat along at a heady 60mph in future :x Other A roads are probably going to be reduced to 50mph or 40mph limits... So that's pretty much guaranteed to be a 40 limit on any road you might think is fun to ride...
