Hi all, so Iv'e replaced the air box with a Ramair pod filter and fitted a 2 into 1 exhaust. The bike starts ok but as it warms up it coughs a bit, almost like a missfire, can't quite decide if the cough is back into the carby or through the exhaust.
Can anyone tell the go to jet size for a...
Does anybody have some photos of there rd04 with gold excel wheels? I'm finally getting round to finishing my 1990 rd04 and I'm struggling to decide if to go black or gold. I wanted gold but the excels are quite a different gold to the originals and black look really nice and more modern...
I've taken the rear shock out of my 700 Alp and removed the standard spring. I'm sending it to Faulkners for them to make me a stiffer replacement. An off the shelf spring from them isn't an option as the standard one is tapered ( about 3-4mm narrower at the bottom ). Not sure what weight spring...
I'm looking to buy a louder exhaust and I saw a used MIG exhaust online.
Would anyone know if it's a good one?
He has fitted a home made silencer in because it was to loud but I'll decide that when I buy it.
Do I need to make any adjustments on the carbs (tuning/replace jets, etc)?
Hello and happy holidays.
I am interested in learning of the age or mileage any members may have experienced a water pump failure on their AT. I searched the forum and learned water pumps are not frequently discussed. My 1990 RD04 AT with 78k km is being updated for a long...

I need to get new crash bars and have to decide between Touratech and Rugged Roads.
The Touratech's have proven to protect the bike very well.
The one's from Rugged Roads look great but I'm not sure whether I like the additional width due to the side bars.
Also, I already fitted a...
Just thought I'd get ahead of the game and work out how to carry a spare wheel on my bike.
Well, the Eurocrats come up with some really stupid ideas, so I reckon it's only a matter of time before they decide that us users of powered two wheelers need some more interference . . . . . ...
A few pics of the progress so far

And a cradle I botched up to give me good access to the engine for cleaning and servicing
Then I need to decide on what colour scheme to go with for the rest of the bike? Thinking black and white for a different look

My 97 AT has been faultless since I bought it 6 months ago.
It has now developed a bit of an erratic idle. Once its warmed up she is fine and idles at about 1200rpm. However when its first started up either in the morning or evening it just wont idle. If i put the choke on it makes no...

About time we got to thinking about this...I've copied quote from another thread, to start the discussion.
I'd love to be able to, Ian, but I really genuinely don't think I have the capacity. Between work & caring responsibilities I barely hold my head above water as it is. Also, I have to go...
Have started a trip report over on the other place, for those that might be interested in my little tale . . . . .
