Just in case anyone else in the UK needs one of these parts and does not want to pay the stupid price of £32 :disgust: ........ (these are only $15 in the states) I just made & fitted today, seems OK. Cost me about £2 & 1/2hr effort. (I bought a 25mm thick hard rubber dapping block on eBay)

    XR
Hi guys I've not posted for ages, I've been a touch busy with other bikes/hobbies/diy and life. I've also not ridden my XR for some time due to pain in my right foot as I found kicking it over was far from comfortable, even with an enduro boot on. Today I go the results from the doctor...

  5. YACO (Yet another Chain Oiler)

    Bodgers Corner

  7. my version of chain oiler

    Transalp
This is my interpretation of a chain oiler. Initial ideea was a gravity based drip with some sort of auto-off when engine is not running. Materials used: Plastic bottle(preferably HDPE to withstand oil in the long run) 1/4 brass barbed connector 6MM gasoline hose 5mm copper brake pipe 1/4...
  8. CRF1000L ADV helmet - anyone got issues?

    Africa Twin
Hi all, I am thinking of getting a Shoei Hornet ADV lid :D but I have seen the odd You Tube Vid and comment about ADV helmets vibrating or there's extra noise because of the "fork tunnel" on the AFrica Twin CRF1000L - basically wind / air streaming up through the forks that disrupts the 'peak'...

    Dominator / FMX
Hmmm, just noticed my vinyl starting to crack, so have to think about a re-cover - anyone had any experience about the kits on ebay - ranging from some smart-looking (in the photos) dual colour ones for 44 quid, up to some German replacements, where you send off the whole seat. As the bike is...

    Transalp
Hi There, Anyone has idea how to connect universal Lazer muffler to Transalp original headers? The diameter of the connection in Lazer muffler is 70mm and the diameter of the original header where I create the link pipe is around 42mm if I recall it right. I have searched the "DIY" (Do it...
  15. WANTED 600 Transalp bits and pieces

    Transalp
Afternoon All, As pay day approaches I am starting to whittle through my list of stuff I'd like for the Transalp; Tall(er) screen Pannier racks (before I start a hideous DIY attempt) Standard handle bars or bar risers as the Renthal bars on it are too low and catch the fairing on full lock...
