Today, I aimed to start my RD07a after full stripdown.
Fresh fuel in tank. new plugs, and battery fully charged.
Cranked over until battery flat ... nothing not even a misfire.
Working on theory that spark and fuel are normally required I checked both.
Spark - excellent
Fuel - no significant...

I'm coming up against BOTH figures on t'Interweb...slightly complicated by my verniers, albeit at a...
Really made myself look a plonker today (yea, more than usual). Talking to a friend and he was saying about the RD01, RD02, and I thought to myself, "Hang on", RD03 was the first version and said so.
"I have an RD01 he says, its a shaft drive. The RD02 was the Dominator". "Never realised this...

Regretably putting another Transalp up for sale !!
Unfortunately its silly having 2 of the same bikes in the garage and one must go. I have Ummm'd and Arrr'd lots over this as I genuinely love these Transalps, but I guess it came down to the fact theres more out there if the mood takes me...

So after reading pages and pages on here about what bars I ordered Renthal's Dakar high 6.5"

Got a letter from Honda UK yesterday, lots of red writing on it,,,, babbled something about an OEM top box? I thought I didn't have a topbox on the Crosstourer?????
IT WAS FOR THE MIGHTY VARADERO! DOH!
Well, I'm presuming it was the wobbly topbox mounting bracket that was being recalled, I...

Like a tw*t i have sheared off one of the 4studs that holds the front axle retaining plate in place! I am due a few days away on the bike as of tomorrow morning and want to try and sort it out tonight before I go.
I have read that it is possible to remove the stub with mole grips or alike...
I have a ex work mate ( female who's now a classroom assistant) that needs to buy a cheap 'city' car eg Ford KA, VW lupo, Fiat Punto etc etc WHY.
Her budget is small ( £1500 max) as she is having to downsize her home ( post divorce) and move further away than walking distance

Car was frosted up outside my house, so went out and turned her on, heater going full blast to clear...
I always park my bike in the garage facing forward so I sit on the bike and push it out backwards with the engine running to warm up while I put my helmet and gloves on and close the garage. Now I always leave the side stand down when doing this so I can just hop off the close the garage...
I am kicking myself today cos I have broken the lid off my front brake m/cyl. One of the screws was rounded off when I got the bike, so I decided to drill the head off carefully. Once I had got rid of most of the head, I gently (or so I thought) levered the lid up. You can guess the rest.. :(...

Filtering in London last night with the panniers on, rain, dark, and bounced off a Merc and into a South African diplomats Peugoet :withstupid:
Nice dent in his door and a demolished wing mirror - not a mark on the Merc thank :toothy3:! And my battle tank has no additional scars :D
