I'd be interested to know what average running temperature you guys have. I went for a 150 mile ride yesterday and the temp reached 107. The road conditions were dry, 19C and an average speed 80-90, continuous for 2hrs or so. The temp gauge showed two marks below red so nowhere near boiling but...
I have discovered that one of the above items has a small tear in it, so I intend replacing both.
I cannot seem to find a supplier, Honda Part no; 16111-MY1-000 states that it covers up to year 2000, mine is 2001.

If I wanted to use an earth fed switch (momentary push type) to kill the ignition, which wire do I need to feed the earth to? The standard Domi kill switch just cuts the power to the CDI, but I am trying to simplify the wiring and switches.
After all the parts I have taken off and put back on I am stuck with this little bracket. I did put a label on it saying sprocket cover, but I can't see in any place it will fit. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere near the drive sprocket cover but as I've said ??
