I bought this thinking it would fit my RD07A, however now realise it's from the earlier RD04 model (1990 - 1992?).
Rear bracket to frame is main difference.
In very good condition considering its age.
Looking for around £100 plus postage - collection welcome.
PM me if interested
My mates got a 1998 french import (600VW) and needs to replace the headlight unit but he can't find one. Does anyone know if any others can be made to fit poss from another make of bike or from an earlier 600??? Help appreciated (Parts link undernoted) Cheers...
I have a 2000 NX650 which I am in the throws of making it look like an old CR250 Elsinore... Would like to have a kick starter... Can it be done...? I hoping it's just a case of using earlier parts..?
there has been some talk about starter motor repairs earlier, but I couldn't find a good (reasonably priced) source for the starter motor bearings in Europe. The US repair kit is still available, but to me it seems a bit pricey (200+ USD), and I don't need all the parts supplied with it...
Following some moronic behavious by a deckhand on Irish Ferries earlier in the week, I now need a replacement seat for my 2005 Vara! XL1000 V4 The stupid eedjit overtightened the ratchet strap in spite of being told not to.... and snapped the base plate so that it does not take my weight...
You don't see many Dommies about these days, rarer still to see two together!
Here's JamieB76's and mine at the Log Cabin Cafe, Abridge earlier today. I did my best to make sure the Harley-Fergusons parked alongside were kept out of shot...
As said in my earlier post my chokes are stuck. So I cant start the bike from cold.
I would prefer to get it running and take it to my workshop so I can work on it indoors. Workign ona bike outside is a vile business.
To get it running I have thought of using easy start, the Haynes manual is not...
One I knocked up earlier in the year. This was my own bike so kind of just played around with it making it how I liked myself. Not scared to crash it either. It came off roading with me a few times. I had a Hagon with stiffer springs so it handled quite well.
I've done a couple of XR650L's...
Hello all. It's time I introduced myself. My name is Gary and I purchased a 1988 XRV650 RD03 earlier this year. I'd like to thank you all. Your forum has been a great help to me with your advice and gave me some pointers when looking at buying. I had 2 motorbike posters as a lad. One is was a...
Has anybody else fitted one of these?
If so, did you have problems? I have!
The slots In the regulator did not allow the studs to pass through. Today I was near their factory so I popped in and one of the chaps there widened the slots. Tonight I go to fit it and the studs now go through the...
Latest bike 99% completed and test ridden earlier :)
So much fun to ride on a sunny sunday!
The other bike is a 1976 XR75 which is almost done now just waiting on a new front plate and splash some paint on the pipe.
I'm after a rear wheel for my xr250l. This model has a cush drive and a very limited choice of rear sprockets. I'm therefore after a 250R rear wheel.
My model is year 1992. Would anyone know if the later dry sump models shared the same rear wheel as the earlier disk brake 250's?
Hi, I am going for led light on my bike. Then I will need DC.
In that case it should be enough power from standard stator.
I Wonder if I could replace the AC regulator or have to convert to DC after the it?
Or could I re-wire and use power from DC output as is used for brake light and blinkers...
